Hey there! If you're reading this thread, you've probably signed up for a nice little forum here, in which case, welcome! We're glad you're here. Before you begin posting, though, there are a few rules and guidelines you should know about. Knowing these things will be key to ensuring the best experience not just for you, but for all of us here on Clarkson Central.
THE WARNING SYSTEM
We all like to have fun, but in order to have that we've got to establish some ground rules. Whenever one of those rules (listed below) are broken, warning points will be given. Different amounts of earning points are assigned to each rule that can be broken. It's also important to note that different warning points expire at different rates. One warning point for a rule might expire after a week, while another will expire after three months. After you've accumulated 10 warning points, you will be banned for five days. After five days, your ban will be lifted from your account and your warning point count will go down to 5 points. If you reach 10 points again, another ban will be issued and you may be permanently banned based on a decision from the admin team.
THE RULES:
1. Copyrighted & Illegal File-Sharing (1 WP, 2 Weeks)
Posting free links to download to any music, movies, books, or other forms of literature and media that has been copyrighted is forbidden unless you have explicit written permission. Sharing links to things like YouTube, iTunes, Spotify, etc. are of course allowed, but files hosted illegally online are not allowed without question.
2. Pornographic & Mature Content (3 WP, 4 Weeks)
Any sort of pornogrphic or mature pictures/videos are strictly prohibited from being posted. Keeping things family-friendly ensures safety for people of all ages that may be browsing our forum.
3. Bullying & Harrasment (5 Points, 5 Weeks)
Cyber-Bullying and/or harassing anyone is not taken lightly here. Our aim is to create a safe and friendly environment for all to have fun. If you are feeling bullied, harassed, threatened, or in danger, please contact a staff member immediately.
4. Trolling (1 WP, 2 Weeks)
Trolling is different from simply voicing your opinion. An example of trolling is posting something like, "lol Kelly Clarkson suxs and is a total flop!"
5. Thread Placement & Thread Hijacking (1 WP, 2 Weeks)
Repeatedly posting threads in the wrong category along with staying off-topic in threads will result in a warning point. To keep everything organized, please make sure you're posting your threads in the category they belong in. Also, make sure to stay on-topic on in threads, doing otherwise is known as Thread Hijacking. If you have any questions on where a thread belongs, please don't hesitate to ask a staff member.
